After launching their Greek-based yogurt brand in the US, Delta Greek Yogurt realized they needed to tweak their identity to better appeal to the American consumer. After deciding on the name meltemi, which maintains roots in their Greek heritage, we set to work on creating a completely reimagined logo and packaging system to align with their goals for this new-to-them market. What we arrived on is a bold, energetic, and artful aesthetic that is current and fun but also distinct and unique amongst a sea of greek yogurt brands on the shelf. Splashy fruit imagery and abstract shapes create ownable brand assets that translate well both on and off pack while also serving the purpose of indicating the product’s flavor and creating a playful backdrop for otherwise mundane technical content. We left no stone unturned as we repeated the lively flavor imagery on the foil lid, adding yet another dimension of color and personality. Knowing the packing would pack a punch, we developed a logo that feels fresh, current and recognizable on its own, yet knows how to complement its more pronounced visual counterparts.
